Sad
Life is not fair. Not that it's supposed to be - but still! On Friday I got a phone call from my sister Lori. She told me that my cousin Tammy's daughter, Sarah, was killed in a car accident. Sarah was just 18. It makes me so sad not only for Sarah but also for Tammy. I cannot even imagine what it would be like to lose a child. Tammy has already had some big trials in her life and now this. It seems like some people have to go through an awful lot in this life. I will be thinking of her and praying that she can find the comfort and strength to make it through the next while.

About the Lion...
So I have to explain the first post on my blog. My wonderful friend Britta created my blog and she included the "Go Penn State" blog. I first met Britta when I (formerly Sister Caldwell) was a missionary in State College Pennsylvania. She was investigating the church and I had the privilege of teaching her the missionary discussions. It was a wonderful time in my life and look back with fondness at the times I had there. I have to reminisce for a moment about some of my favorite Penn State memories:
*Eating otter pops in Britta's dorm
*Going to the creamery for some Peachy Paterno ice cream
*Hiking up Mt. Nittany
*Singing and jumping in puddles one night at on campus.
*Smithie (Alison Smith) - I love her and wish we were still in contact.
*The football games - They were mission approved!
*Taking pictures on the Penn State field - I don't remember how we got in there. I'm sure it was legal.
*Watching Britta get baptized - it made every difficult moment of my mission worth it!

I love you Britta - and thanks again for helping out a technologically delayed sister!
